Great to meet you!

I grew up in the New River Valley Area of Virginia and I am now raising my own children here. I am a wife, mother of 5, and a Christian. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and traveling. I have a Master's Degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. I have worked in the counseling field for over 17 years, spending a lot of that time working in the school system with elementary aged children. I have spent the past 4 years in private practice.

My approach to therapy

I work with children, adolescents, and adults. I am passionate about working with woman who have suffered from abusive relationships, and more specifically, narcissistic abuse. I treat a wide variety of issues including including anxiety, depression, OCD, complex trauma, PTSD, ADHD, behavioral issues, and relationship problems. I use various treatment modalities, including CBT, DBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and play therapy with children.

What you can expect from me

I count it as a privilege to come along side clients and walk with them through some of their most difficult times while giving you support and restoring your hope. As a client you will identify your goals and I will assist you in meeting those goals by teaching you skills or assisting you with processing thoughts and emotions in healthy ways. It is my goal to create a therapeutic environment in which you can identify your own strengths and use those to become the best version of you!
