Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida and Indiana. I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Georgia and Colorado. With over 11 years of experience in the mental health field, my background includes extensive work in crisis centers and child welfare, which has shaped my commitment to providing stable, empathetic support for those navigating life’s most difficult moments. I hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University and an undergraduate degree from Eckerd College.

In my private practice, ALR Therapy, I focus on supporting adults through a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, addiction, and caregiver stress. Whether you are managing a major life transition or seeking to improve your relationships, I am dedicated to helping you find a path forward that feels authentic and manageable.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic style is rooted in a person-centered, strengths-based philosophy. I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to provide the tools and perspective needed to help you heal and grow. I utilize an integrated approach, drawing from evidence-based modalities including:

• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): To help identify and shift helpful thought patterns.

• Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): To foster psychological flexibility and mindfulness.

• Trauma-Focused Therapy: To safely process past experiences.

• Mindfulness-Based Approaches: To help you remain grounded and present.

I strive to create an environment that is collaborative and free of judgment, ensuring that our work together is tailored specifically to your unique goals and values.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, my primary goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where you feel heard and understood. We will spend time discussing what brought you to therapy and what you hope to achieve. This is a collaborative "get to know you" session where we can explore your history and current challenges at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

By the end of our first meeting, we will begin to outline a clear path for our work together, establishing initial goals and discussing how we can measure progress. You can expect an environment of warmth, professional support, and a focus on building a strong therapeutic foundation for your journey toward wellness.
