Great to meet you!

Seeking therapy can be a big step, and finding the right therapist matters. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and respected. I believe that every person has the capacity for growth and healing, and I work collaboratively with clients to help them navigate life’s challenges and build the tools they need to thrive.

I strive to meet clients where they are, whether they are experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, or feeling stuck or overwhelmed. My style is warm, supportive, and collaborative. I believe therapy works best when clients feel comfortable being honest and when we work together as a team to set goals and create meaningful change.

One of my strengths as a therapist is helping clients break down difficult problems into manageable steps while building resilience and self-understanding. I enjoy helping people recognize their strengths, challenge negative self-talk, and develop practical strategies they can use in their everyday lives.

Whether you are seeking support during a difficult time, wanting to better understand yourself, or hoping to build healthier patterns in your life, therapy can be a powerful step toward growth and healing. I would be honored to walk alongside you on that journey.

My approach to therapy

My counseling approach is compassionate, practical, and tailored to each individual. I often draw from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strengths-based therapy, and solution-focused strategies to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we work to identify patterns that may be holding you back while developing healthier coping skills, improved self-confidence, and more balanced ways of thinking.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel both hopeful and a little nerve-racking, especially if it’s your first time. My goal during the first session is to help you feel comfortable, heard, and supported while we begin getting to know each other.

In our first meeting, we will spend time talking about what brought you to therapy and what you would like help with. You are welcome to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with. There is no pressure to have everything figured out. The first session is simply a starting point for understanding your experiences, concerns, and goals.

I will also ask some questions about your background, current challenges, and important areas of your life such as relationships, work or school, stressors, and coping strategies. These questions help me better understand your situation so we can create a plan that supports your needs.

The first session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions about the therapy process, my counseling approach, and how we might work together. Therapy works best when you feel safe and supported, so it’s important that you feel comfortable with the fit.

By the end of the session, we will begin identifying goals for therapy and discuss possible strategies or approaches that may help you move forward. My aim is for you to leave the session feeling understood, supported, and hopeful about the path ahead.

Therapy is a collaborative process, and we will work together at a pace that feels right for you.
