Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Amanda. I earned my Master's degree in Clinical Counseling from Loma Linda University and am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in California. My professional experience has focused on helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional challenges, and major life transitions.

I believe everyone deserves a space where they feel genuinely heard, understood, and accepted without judgment. My goal is to create a warm, supportive environment where you can explore what's weighing on you, build on your strengths, and work toward meaningful, lasting change. I enjoy working with adults facing anxiety, trauma, stress, relationship concerns, self-esteem issues, and life transitions, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside clients as they move toward healing and growth.

My approach to therapy

I take a collaborative, client-centered approach to therapy because I believe you're the expert on your own life. My role is to provide a safe, supportive space while helping you better understand yourself, identify patterns that may no longer be serving you, and develop practical tools to navigate life's challenges.

I tailor therapy to each person's unique needs and goals, drawing from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and trauma-informed care. Whether you're working through anxiety, past experiences, relationship difficulties, or a major life transition, we'll work together at a pace that feels comfortable and meaningful for you.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, and it's completely normal to feel nervous. During our first session, my priority is getting to know you and understanding what brought you to therapy. We'll talk about your current concerns, your personal history, what's been working, what hasn't, and what you hope to gain from our time together.

This first session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and get a sense of whether we're a good fit. There's no pressure to share everything at once, we'll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. By the end of the session, we'll have a clearer understanding of your goals and begin developing a plan to help you move toward them.
