Great to meet you!

I’m Dr. Amanda Torres, a licensed clinical social worker with over 20 years of experience in mental health, substance use, child welfare, and family systems. I hold a Master’s from Rutgers and a Doctorate in Social Work from Capella University. I specialize in anxiety, depression, anger management, addiction recovery, and relational therapy, and I’m trained in the Gottman Method and certified in anger management (CAMS-II). I’m passionate about breaking the stigma around mental health and providing compassionate, individualized care.

My approach to therapy

I use a solution-focused, holistic approach, integrating evidence-based practices like CBT, mindfulness, and relational therapy. My style is collaborative and supportive, helping clients build on their strengths while addressing challenges. I tailor each session to meet individual needs, whether focusing on emotional regulation, communication, or recovery support.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a supportive, non-judgmental space where they’ll develop practical coping strategies, improve emotional balance, and strengthen relationships. My goal is to help clients feel empowered, gain insight, and leave each session with tools they can apply in daily life to foster growth and resilience.
