Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Amanda Wegmann, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a background in trauma, nervous system regulation, and mind-body healing. I also have extensive education and experience in nutrition, biochemistry, biology, and holistic wellness. I help clients who feel overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected from themselves learn how to feel safe in their bodies again. My approach is gentle, supportive, and grounded in both evidence-based practices and nervous-system–informed therapy. Together, we’ll explore what you’re experiencing with compassion and build the tools you need to feel more regulated, empowered, and connected in your life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is grounded in nervous system regulation, trauma-informed care, and mind-body connection. I help clients move out of patterns like overwhelm, shutdown, hypervigilance, and emotional reactivity by teaching them how to feel safer and more present in their bodies. Rather than focusing only on thoughts, I integrate somatic awareness, parts work, and gentle exposure to help clients shift long-held patterns.

I specialize in working with highly sensitive individuals, people with chronic stress or burnout, and those who feel stuck in cycles of health issues, anxiety, numbness, or self-criticism. Together, we build emotional resilience, reconnect with your authentic self, and create the internal safety needed for lasting change.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a calm, supportive space where we move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I’ll ask gentle questions to get to know what you’ve been experiencing, what feels hardest right now, and what you hope to change. There’s no pressure to share anything before you’re ready — this session is about understanding your story, your nervous system, and what you need to feel safe.

We’ll also begin exploring how stress shows up in your body, and I’ll introduce simple grounding or regulation tools you can start using right away. By the end of the session, you’ll have a clearer sense of what’s happening beneath the surface and what our work together will look like moving forward. My goal is for you to leave feeling seen, understood, and supported, not overwhelmed.
