Great to meet you!

Life in New York moves fast, and sometimes the weight of managing it all — the anxiety, the burnout, the relationships that feel like they're fraying — quietly becomes too much to carry alone. I'm an LCSW offering online therapy for adults and seniors navigating anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, substance use, and the pressures that come with caregiving, major life transitions, and aging.

I have a particular focus on older adults, seniors, and kinship caregivers — people who are often forgotten in mental health conversations but who carry enormous weight. I also bring specialized experience in substance use counseling and school-based mental health, and a deep commitment to culturally responsive care that reflects the full diversity of New York City.

As a Black female therapist, I believe representation matters in the therapy room. My practice is built on empowerment, lived experience, and clinical expertise — and I'm accepting new clients now.

My approach to therapy

My approach is evidence-based, trauma-informed, and rooted in your strengths — not your deficits. I use Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy to help you develop awareness and emotional regulation, Motivational Interviewing to work through ambivalence without pressure, and Positive Psychology to build on what's already working in your life.

I believe in practical, culturally affirming therapy that makes sense for your actual life in New York — the pace, the pressures, and the specific challenges that come with navigating this city while managing your mental health. Sessions focus on real skills you can use right away: stress management, coping strategies, self-esteem building, and healthier patterns in relationships.

Everything is tailored to you. There's no template here — just honest, collaborative work toward meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel uncertain, especially when you're not sure what to expect. In our first session, I'll keep things straightforward: we'll talk about what's brought you here, what's been most difficult, and what you're hoping changes. You don't need to have it organized — just show up.

I'll ask about your background and your current situation, and by the end of the session we'll start building goals that actually fit your life. Evening and weekend appointments are available, and I accept Aetna, Cigna, Anthem BCBS (Empire), and Carelon.

Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, relationship stress, or just feeling disconnected from yourself — this is a space where you can be honest, be heard, and begin to feel better.
