Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Amanda, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of RIVE Counseling. I support women who are feeling emotionally overwhelmed, burned out, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. Many of my clients are high-functioning on the outside but privately struggling with anxiety, self-doubt, relationship stress, or feeling disconnected from themselves. My goal is to create a space where you can slow down, feel understood, and start making sense of what you've been carrying.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in both insight and practical tools. We'll look at what's happening in your life right now, how your past experiences may be shaping your present, and what you need to feel more emotionally steady and supported. I use a mix of evidenced-based strategies, mindfulness, and relational work to help you build awareness, strengthen boundaries, and created meaningful change in a way that feels sustainable.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and start building a sense of safety and trust. We'll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you're hoping for, and any concerns or questions you may have. You don't have to have everything figured out, this is a space to show up as you are. Together, we'll begin to clarify your goals and create a plan that feels supportive and realistic for you.
