Great to meet you!

I am a ABPN board-certified General Psychiatrist who has been in practice for over a decade. I'm a graduate of the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, where I completed medical school followed by my psychiatric internship and residency training in 2013. My practice offers in-depth evaluations for new patients, personalized medication management, and supportive and motivational therapy woven into each follow-up visit.

My approach to therapy

My professional interest is in mind-body wellness, sometimes called Lifestyle Psychiatry. I believe in psychotropic medication management as one of the tenants of overall wellness, but I recognize that medications have limitations. Ideally I want to help patients use the medications to get well enough to then lean on more non-medicinal interventions such as psychotherapy, exercise, diet, sleep and socialization to reach their full potential. To that end, if I feel you would benefit from working with an outside therapist in conjunction to medication management, I welcome collaboration

with your therapy provider.

What you can expect from me

A first appointment will include a thorough history of your past psychiatric needs, concerns and treatment as well as a thorough assessment of your ongoing mental health needs and concerns. Patients often comment that they feel better just having had this first appointment as they have been listened to and heard over the course of the initial hour visit.

The first appointment will conclude with a straightforward assessment of your ongoing diagnosis(es) and feedback regarding the information you have shared and possible treatment options- both short and long term goals will be discussed and agreed upon.
