Great to meet you!

Hi! I'm Amanda, and I am so glad you are here! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with adults facing trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I earned my Master's in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2022. My background includes work in research, crisis intervention, mental health, addiction, and the criminal justice population.

My approach to therapy

I aim to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients can feel comfortable being fully themselves. My style is collaborative, down-to-earth, and often playful and quirky; I believe there is room for humor in therapy alongside the harder work. Together, we will build insight, develop practical coping skills, and work toward meaningful changes to help you break old patterns in a way that feels authentic to you.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we will focus on getting to know you, what brings you to therapy, and what you hope to gain from the process. I like to move at a pace that feels comfortable and collaborative, and there is no pressure to share more than you are ready to. We will begin identifying your goals together and talk about what support would feel most helpful moving forward.
