Great to meet you!

I am Amanda Yurko, a licensed clinical professional counselor dedicated to improving lives through compassionate care. I am a compassionate, creative, and detail-oriented therapist. I attended Misericordia University for my undergraduate degree in Psychology, and then Marywood University where I completed my Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling. My primary experience is in private practice mental health and community mental health where I have facilitated individuals, couples, and family therapy.

When I’m away from my practice, my favorite role is being a loving wife to my husband and a proud mom to our two wonderful children. As a family, we love seeking out new adventures, whether we're hiking a scenic trail or relaxing at the beach. You can also find me cheering loudly for the Philadelphia Phillies and the Vegas Golden Knights, or winding down with my favorite rock music. Balancing a vibrant family life with my practice keeps me grounded, energized, and deeply connected to the importance of work-life balance.

My approach to therapy

I embrace a versatile, personalized approach to therapy, thoughtfully tailoring our sessions to your unique needs and goals. By blending evidence-based strategies from cognitive behavioral therapy with practical problem-solving, relaxation techniques, and sustainable self-care, I equip you with a customized toolkit for lasting well-being.

What you can expect from me

With a focus on deeply collaborative and empathetic approach, meeting clients exactly where they are to support them on their unique journey. I am dedicated to fostering a safe, welcoming space where we can work together to navigate obstacles, achieve your self-chosen goals, and enhance your overall quality of life.

I facilitate each client through their journey with realistic expectations and understanding. I cultivate a calm, warm, and welcoming environment similar to that of a living room or meeting at a coffee shop.
