Great to meet you!

I specialize in parent management training and in working with parents of neurodivergent children and children with behavioral concerns, particularly in young children. My specialty area is neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g., autism, ADHD, intellectual disabilities).

More about me on my website: www.KhalilPsych.com

My approach to therapy

I frequently use behavior/parent training, and I offer parent-only and parent-coaching sessions. During parent coaching, I teach parents what to say and how to interact with their child to handle challenging behaviors and reinforce positive behaviors. In Parent only sessions I teach and talk through with parents parents behavioral skills to help prevent unwanted behaviors and manage their child's behaviors.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, I'll get some background information on your child. I'll then ask questions about problem behaviors and what you'd like to see change. I'll ask what you've tried and how you respond to behaviors now, then I may make 1-2 small suggestions of new ways to approach one unwanted behavior to start.
