Great to meet you!

I am Amarilys González, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of experience providing comprehensive healthcare to adults.

My professional journey began as a physician specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Cuba. After transitioning into healthcare in the United States, I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and expanded my clinical expertise through advanced training in Family Practice and Psychiatric-Mental Health.

Throughout my career, I have cared for patients experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, insomnia, emotional stress, and other mental health challenges. My extensive background in adult medicine allows me to recognize the important connection between physical health, hormonal changes, and emotional well-being.

I specialize in comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, individualized treatment planning, and evidence-based medication management. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and focused on understanding each patient as a whole person rather than simply treating symptoms.

As a bilingual provider fluent in English and Spanish, I offer psychiatric telehealth services to adults throughout Florida. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming, and judgment-free environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered to achieve better mental health and quality of life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is compassionate, personalized, and centered on treating the whole person, not just the symptoms. I believe that mental health is closely connected to physical health, hormonal balance, lifestyle, and emotional well-being.

I begin by listening carefully to each patient's concerns, understanding their personal experiences, and conducting a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. Together, we develop an individualized treatment plan that incorporates evidence-based practices, medication management when appropriate, patient education, and supportive lifestyle strategies.

I value open communication, mutual respect, and shared decision-making. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming, and judgment-free environment where patients feel comfortable discussing their challenges.

Above all, I strive to build trusting, long-term relationships that empower my patients to achieve emotional stability, improve their quality of life, and move forward with confidence.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, you can expect a warm, welcoming, and judgment-free environment where you feel comfortable sharing your concerns and experiences. My priority is to listen carefully, understand your needs, and help you feel heard, respected, and supported.

We will begin with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, discussing your current symptoms, medical and mental health history, medications, lifestyle, sleep patterns, and any factors that may be affecting your emotional well-being.

I believe in a collaborative approach, so we will discuss your concerns, treatment goals, and available options together. When appropriate, we may explore medication management, lifestyle recommendations, and additional therapeutic support.

You will also have the opportunity to ask questions and express any concerns about your care. My goal is for you to leave our first session feeling understood, informed, and confident about the next steps toward improving your mental health and overall quality of life.
