Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with specialized training in trauma-informed care, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). My professional background includes working with individuals navigating relational distress, identity development, grief, life transitions, and the impact of unresolved or generational trauma. I am particularly passionate about helping clients understand how early experiences, family dynamics, and attachment patterns shape present-day emotions and relationships.

I work primarily with adults who are motivated to grow in self-awareness, strengthen boundaries, and develop healthier ways of relating to themselves and others. My style is thoughtful, grounded, and collaborative, and I value creating a space where clients feel safe, respected, and supported at their own pace. Faith integration is available if desired and is always guided by the client’s preferences.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is thoughtful, paced, and deeply client-centered. I prioritize creating a space where clients feel emotionally safe, respected, and understood, especially when working through sensitive or complex material. I am attentive to patterns that show up in both language and relationships, and I help clients slow down enough to notice what is happening internally rather than rushing toward solutions.

I work collaboratively and intentionally, balancing reflection with practical application so insights can translate into real-life change. When appropriate, I integrate EMDR as part of a broader therapeutic process, always guided by readiness and stability. Faith can be incorporated in a way that feels supportive and aligned with each client’s values.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, clients can expect a calm, supportive conversation focused on understanding what brings them to therapy and what they hope to gain from it. We’ll talk through background information, current concerns, and any past experiences that feel relevant, at a pace that feels manageable. My priority is helping you feel comfortable, heard, and respected — there is no pressure to share more than you’re ready to.

We’ll also discuss how therapy works, answer questions, and begin identifying next steps together. The first session is about getting oriented and seeing whether working together feels like a good fit.
