Great to meet you!

My journey began 13 years ago in emergency medicine and critical care nursing, where I was drawn to caring for people during some of the most difficult and vulnerable moments of their lives. I wanted to make a meaningful difference when it mattered most: to offer comfort in the midst of uncertainty, advocate for those in need, and help people feel seen and supported during challenging times. Those experiences shaped the way I practice today and strengthened my belief that every person deserves to be met with dignity, understanding, and compassion.

As a board certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I bring that same commitment to mental health care, recognizing that each person's story, experiences, and needs are unique. I believe in creating a safe, welcoming, and judgment-free space where you can feel comfortable being yourself, sharing your experiences, and working collaboratively toward healing and growth.

My special interests include supporting women navigating mental health challenges, particularly those impacted by trauma; working with neurodivergent individuals; and providing affirming, inclusive care to members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I strive to approach each person with curiosity and openness, honoring their individual experiences and recognizing the many factors that shape mental health and well-being.

I believe meaningful care goes beyond managing symptoms. It means listening without judgment, understanding the bigger picture, and developing a personalized treatment approach that honors your goals, values, and strengths. Whether we are exploring medication options, building coping strategies, or navigating life's challenges together, my goal is for you to feel heard, empowered, and supported throughout your journey.

You deserve care that recognizes your humanity, honors your story, and meets you where you are. It is a privilege to be part of that journey.

My approach to therapy

I firmly believe that every person carries a unique story, shaped by their experiences, relationships, challenges, and the ways they have learned to survive difficult seasons. My approach is rooted in empathy, authenticity, compassion, and a deep belief in treating the whole person—not just a diagnosis or a set of symptoms. I believe that mental health care should feel like a partnership rather than a checklist. Above all, I hope to offer something that can sometimes feel difficult to find: a safe place to land, where you are welcomed and supported as the person you are, not the person you have learned to pretend to be.

What you can expect from me

Our first appointment is a full 60-minute intake, giving us time to get to know you, understand your story, explore your concerns, and develop a personalized treatment plan that feels right for you.

Follow-up appointments are 30 minutes and focus on medication management, your progress, and practical strategies to support you in everyday life. These visits may also include supportive therapy, coping skills, and collaborative problem-solving. While emotional support and therapeutic guidance are an important part of our work together, these appointments are not intended to replace ongoing, weekly psychotherapy.

If you’re looking for dedicated weekly therapy, I’m happy to help connect you with a therapist who is a good fit. Combining consistent therapy with thoughtful medication management can provide a more comprehensive approach to your mental health and well-being.

My goal is for you to leave every appointment feeling heard, understood, and supported, with a clearer sense of direction and confidence in your next steps. You deserve care that feels personal, collaborative, and meaningful—not rushed, overwhelming, or reduced to simply a medication management appointment.
