Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Amber! I'm a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with a master's degree in Counseling from California State University, San Bernardino. I have experience working with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, grief, and major life transitions.

My background includes working in community mental health, college counseling, and private practice, where I've supported individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and life experiences. These experiences have shaped my appreciation for each person's unique story and the importance of feeling genuinely heard and understood.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your individual needs. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to help you explore your experiences, gain a deeper understanding of yourself, and discover new possibilities for growth and change.

I draw from several therapeutic approaches, including Person-Centered Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and strengths-based practices. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I adapt our work to what feels most meaningful and helpful to you.

My style is warm, conversational, and curious. I value creating a genuine connection where you feel comfortable exploring difficult emotions, identifying patterns, and considering new perspectives. Together, we'll build on your strengths, develop tools for navigating challenges, and work toward changes that reflect your values and goals.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a foundation of trust. I'll invite you to share what brings you to therapy, what you've been experiencing, and what you hope to gain from our time together. We'll also explore relevant aspects of your background, current challenges, and personal strengths.

I understand that starting therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if you're unsure where to begin or how to put your experiences into words. There's no expectation to have everything figured out or to share more than you're comfortable with. My priority is to create a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard and respected.

As we get to know each other, we'll begin identifying goals that feel meaningful to you and discuss how we can work together to support your growth. My hope is that you leave our first session feeling understood, supported, and more comfortable taking the next steps in your therapeutic journey.
