Great to meet you!

I believe that self-compassion and self-acceptance are essential for promoting growth and healing. My work with clients is informed by multiple therapeutic approaches grounded in psychodynamic, attachment, somatic, emotion-focused, and mindfulness-based techniques to help clients reconnect with themselves and heal at a core level. I regularly utilize AEDP, ISTDP and Internal Family Systems with clients. I aim to help clients heal the source of their distress, build capacity for emotion expression and regulation, and incorporate behaviors that lead to a healthier self and stronger relationships.

I received my B.A. in Psychology from Vassar College and my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Palo Alto University in Palo Alto, CA.

My approach to therapy

I work with individuals who seek to truly understand themselves and what drives their behaviors. Exploring one’s inner world with curiosity and compassion makes up an important first step to healing. When an individual’s inner and outer selves are aligned and unacknowledged pain is surfaced, one is freed up to heal and live more fully and honestly. You may have a sense that bits and pieces of yourself have been suppressed or dismissed along the way. My approach to therapy will help you retrieve and re-integrate these important parts of yourself so that you can feel whole and fulfilled.

Using a fairly accelerated method, I help individuals remove inner blocks, cultivate patience and self-compassion, and allow one’s inner healing process to enliven. My clients and I work toward tolerating and processing painful emotions, mending caregiver-child attachment wounds, and re-working unconscious emotional learning that gives rise to symptoms.

My therapeutic approach is molded to the individual characteristics, personalities, and comfort levels of each client. I truly enjoy this work and co-creating unique environments for change with clients is certainly a privilege. If you're facing challenges in your life and would like to learn new ways of working through those challenges, please reach out.
