Great to meet you!

I believe that healing happens within a safe, supportive, and authentic therapeutic relationship. My approach is client-centered, collaborative, and culturally responsive, recognizing that each person brings unique experiences, strengths, and challenges into the counseling process. I work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds, helping clients navigate concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and stress management.

My therapeutic style is warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental while also providing practical tools and strategies to support meaningful growth. I draw from evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and trauma-informed practices, tailoring treatment to meet each client's individual needs and goals.

One of my strengths is creating a space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. I am passionate about helping individuals identify their strengths, develop healthier coping skills, improve relationships, and build resilience. Whether you are facing a difficult life challenge or seeking personal growth, I am committed to walking alongside you as you work toward healing, balance, and lasting change.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is client-centered, collaborative, and culturally responsive. I believe that each person is the expert on their own life, and my role is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences openly. I work alongside clients to identify their goals, build on their strengths, and develop practical strategies to overcome challenges.

I utilize evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and trauma-informed care, tailoring treatment to meet each client's unique needs and circumstances. I recognize the importance of culture, identity, family dynamics, and life experiences in shaping mental health and strive to provide care that is inclusive, respectful, and affirming of diverse backgrounds.

Whether clients are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship concerns, or life transitions, I focus on helping them gain insight, develop effective coping skills, strengthen resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change. My goal is to foster a therapeutic relationship built on trust, empathy, and empowerment, where clients feel supported throughout their healing journey.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect their first session to be a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free space where we begin getting to know one another. During this session, I will ask questions about your current concerns, personal history, relationships, strengths, and goals for therapy. This helps me gain a better understanding of your unique experiences and what brings you to counseling.

The first session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions, share what you hope to achieve, and discuss any previous experiences with therapy. Together, we will identify your needs, explore potential treatment goals, and begin developing a plan that feels meaningful and achievable for you.

Most importantly, there is no pressure to share everything at once. Building trust takes time, and I strive to create an environment where you feel heard, respected, and comfortable moving at a pace that feels right for you. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling supported, understood, and hopeful about the therapeutic process.
