Great to meet you!

I have worked with children, teens, adults and families for over 20 years. I have a warm, loving approach, focusing on the importance of you feeling like you can share whatever is on your heart during our time.

I specialize in working with children, teens, adults and families dealing with all aspects of trauma, and also adoption and foster care concerns. I am also a Trust Based Relational Intervention Practitioner(TBRI) which focuses on the foundation of compassion as a touchstone in connecting with everyone in life. It is most important to me that you feel safe, validated and empowered to feel, and process in order to heal.

My approach to therapy

The foundation of healing is relationship, and ensuring that you feel safe, cared for and able to share is the most important thing to me. I have an empathetic approach, that encourages you to express yourself and learn to, while also guiding you and cheerleading you to experience who you were made to be.

What you can expect from me

As we initially meet, there is no pressure to share your whole life story in the first session or two. The most important thing is for you to feel comfortable, and to slowly open up in your own timing. I am there to listen, and encourage you to connect to yourself-your own thoughts and feelings, and to gain time to heal as you do this. When we experience trauma of any kind, our brain speeds things up, and we are often not encouraged to step back and feel what we are experiencing anyways in this busy world-- in order to truly heal. My passion is for others to feel fully alive and to be true to themselves in their healing journey of feeling what they are going through in order to heal.
