Great to meet you!

I'm Amber Fessette, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with over 12 years in mental health care including 8+ years as a Registered Nurse and 4 years as a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I bring a deep, well-rounded understanding of psychiatric care to every session. I earned my MSN from Wilkes University and have worked in outpatient psychiatry, which has shaped my belief that good psychiatric care means treating the whole person, not just a diagnosis. I specialize in medication management for ADHD, anxiety, mood disorders, and OCD. I take a collaborative, evidence-based approach that's tailored to how these conditions actually affect your day-to-day life. I bring both clinical expertise and genuine compassion to help you feel like yourself again.

My approach to therapy

I specialize in working with adults and adolescents navigating ADHD, anxiety, mood disorders, OCD, and PTSD. I believe effective care starts with really listening and understanding your symptoms, your history, and what a good life looks like to you. I take a collaborative approach, combining thoughtful medication management with practical, evidence-based strategies tailored to how these conditions actually show up in your daily life, whether that's racing thoughts at 2am, trouble focusing at work, or just feeling stuck. I always explain my clinical reasoning so you're an informed partner in your own care, not just a passenger. We move at a pace that respects your comfort level, and I regularly check in on what's working and what isn't. My goal is for you to feel genuinely understood and heard.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is about getting a clear, honest picture of what you're dealing with. We'll talk through your symptoms, history, and what's already been tried, at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I'll share my initial clinical impressions and we'll start building a plan together, which may include medication, therapy referrals, or lifestyle strategies specific to your current situation. You should leave the appointment with a clearer sense of what's going on and a concrete next steps.
