Great to meet you!

My name is Amber Foreman, i am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with compassion, insight, and practical support. I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work with a specialization in Children and Families and additional training in migration and community-based care.

My professional background includes working in community mental health, crisis intervention, and supportive services with individuals experiencing complex life stressors.

Whether you are seeking support through a difficult time or looking to better understand patterns in your life, my goal is to meet you where you are and help you move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, non-judgmental, and client-centered. I strive to create a space where you feel safe being honest about what you’re experiencing while we work together to build tools that support real change in your daily life.

I work with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, and trauma, and I recognize that mental health is shaped not only by personal experiences but also by the systems and relationships around us, including family dynamics, cultural expectations, and community environments.

Using a systems-informed and trauma-informed approach, I help clients explore patterns that may be keeping them stuck while developing practical strategies to support emotional healing and resilience.

I also have a particular interest in working with first-generation individuals who may be balancing multiple cultural identities, family expectations, and personal goals. Therapy can be a space to process these experiences, strengthen your sense of self, and move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my goal is to create a comfortable and supportive space where you can begin sharing what brought you to therapy at your own pace. We’ll spend time getting to know each other, discussing what’s currently going on in your life, and exploring what you hope to gain from therapy.

I may ask questions about your background, current stressors, relationships, and mental health history so I can better understand the full picture of your experiences. Together, we’ll start identifying goals for our work and what progress might look like for you.

There’s no pressure to share everything at once. Therapy is a process, and the first session is simply the start of building a supportive therapeutic relationship.
