I have been a social worker for almost 15 years. Despite being a native Los Angeleno, I braved the winters of New York City and graduated from Columbia University's School of Social Work. I have spent most of my career working with clients who are experiencing chronic, sometimes life threatening medical conditions.
I believe each person is different and cannot fit into one therapeutic approach. I work from a strengths-based approach focusing on what strengths my clients bring to sessions and how we can build from there.
I want the first session to feel warm and comfortable. It can be tough to open up to a new person and the first step is the hardest so we can take things at your pace.
We'll talk about what has brought your first session and what you are hoping to work on during subsequent sessions. Don't worry if you don't have defined goals we can work on these together.
