Great to meet you!

I’m a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with over 20 years of healthcare experience. I work with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, mood concerns, and times when they simply feel stuck or unlike themselves.

I became a psychiatric provider because I believe mental health care should feel personal. I want to know more than your diagnosis or medication list—I want to understand what is happening in your life, what matters to you, what you’ve already tried, and where you want to go. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable being honest, asking questions, and being an active part of your care.

My approach to therapy

I believe medication can be an incredibly helpful tool, but it isn’t always the whole answer. My approach combines evidence-based psychiatric care with a whole-person perspective, considering sleep, stress, relationships, lifestyle, habits, physical health, and the patterns that may be affecting how you feel.

Treatment is collaborative and individualized. Depending on your needs, we may use medication, practical behavioral strategies, lifestyle changes, coping tools, or a combination of approaches. I also support clients who want to thoughtfully simplify or reduce medications when it is clinically appropriate. The goal isn’t simply to manage symptoms—it’s to help you feel and function better in your everyday life.

What you can expect from me

Your first appointment is really a chance for me to get to know you and understand what has been going on. We’ll talk about what brought you in, what you’re struggling with, what you’ve tried before, and what you would like to feel different in your life.

You’ll have plenty of space to ask questions, share concerns, and tell me what is important to you. By the end of our visit, we’ll talk through what I think may be going on and decide together what makes sense for your next steps. You don’t have to have everything figured out before you come in. We’ll start where you are and go from there.
