Great to meet you!

Hello and Welcome! I am excited to share information to assist you in determining if I would be a helpful resource, in your counseling journey. My experience spans 20 years working with youth and adults in behavioral health and more specifically substance use/misuse.

I have a MA in Forensic Psychology, and a MEd in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I hold a LCAS, CCJP and CCS, through the NCSAPPB. I am currently a LCMHC-A through the NCBLCMHC.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I respect the client's knowledge of themselves. I feel genuineness is important in the counseling environment. I have worked with individuals who currently or have had experience(s) with depression, anxiety, PTSD, domestic violence, trauma, substance use/misuse, and personality.

What you can expect from our first session

As shared, I feel genuineness is important in the counseling environment. My goal is that those with whom I work feel that they have the safe space to share and be themselves. I can give take away exercises for those to try in between our sessions and will follow up at the beginning of the next session on those take aways.
