Amber Johnson

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in the State of Texas. I earned my Master of Social Work degree in 2016 from SFASU. I have worked with numerous populations including those suffering with anxiety, depression, trauma, mental health crisis, People Living with HIV/AIDS, LGBTQIA issues, as well as those with new and chronic health issues, substance abuse, and job loss. I am very open minded and believe that each client us unique and requires a unique approach to treatment.

One therapeutic style used is client-centered which means I meet you where you are at in your life, and we work outward from that point. Alternative treatment modalities used include motivational interviewing as well as strength-based therapy. Your underlying thoughts and beliefs can affect how you feel emotionally, which affects how you behave and how well you function. There are many other eclectic techniques/modalities utilized according to the need of the person.

I know each person’s journey to healing is distinct and unique, and it is my privilege to offer support, guidance, and transformation to those who seek help.
