Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Amber Leafstedt, LPC-MH, LAC. I work with teens and adults who are navigating trauma, emotional overwhelm, relationship struggles, and the lingering impact of difficult life experiences.

Many of the people I work with feel stuck in survival mode. They may notice patterns in relationships, strong emotional reactions, or a sense that their nervous system is always on edge. Others come to therapy carrying the weight of past trauma, attachment wounds, or experiences that still affect how safe they feel in the world.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, relational, and grounded in the belief that healing happens in the context of safety and connection. I strive to create a space where you can show up as you are, without pressure to have everything figured out first. Together we move at a pace that feels manageable while working toward meaningful change. I offer trauma-informed therapy rooted in respect, curiosity, and care. We’ll start by exploring what’s going on in your life, identify what feels stuck, and move at a pace that feels safe for you. I use variety of approaches tailored to your needs including EMDR, DBT, and mindfulness to help you feel more connected, grounded, and in charge of your healing.

What you can expect from me

I have a special interest in working with trauma survivors, individuals navigating attachment wounds, emotional dysregulation, dissociation, and those who feel disconnected from themselves or their relationships. I also enjoy supporting LGBTQI+ clients and teens who are exploring identity, safety, and belonging.

At its core, therapy is not about “fixing” who you are. It is about creating space for healing, growth, and a deeper relationship with yourself.

We begin where you are, and we grow from there.
