Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I have my Masters of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of Alabama; and my bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Auburn University. I have worked in various social work and mental health settings including: foster care, public schools, non-profits, and outpatient and in-school counseling. I specialize in trauma interventions and I work with individuals ages 12 and older.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I believe that counseling is for anyone who decides that they are worth the investment in themselves. Counseling is a worthwhile challenge that allows individuals the rare time and space to care for themselves in a world that demands more of them every day. I am trauma-informed and respect the role that past experiences can have on present and future wellbeing. I primarily use cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) with a holistic approach.

What you can expect from our first session

I hope that everyone who I encounter leaves each session with new hope and perspective for their unique situation and new ways of thinking about themselves and their life. I hope that everyone feels welcome, safe, and reminded of the validation of their experiences and emotions when meeting with me.
