Great to meet you!

I'm a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who supports teens, young adults, and families working through constant worry, big emotions, focus challenges, and the impact of difficult life experiences. Before specializing in psychiatry five years ago, I spent 13 yeas in emergency medicine, where I learned how deeply people need to feel seen and supported during overwhelming moments. That experience shaped my approach today: blending medical expertise with genuine curiosity, compassion, and respect for YOUR story. My goal is to create a space where you feel, safe, understood, and able to explore what you are going through with clarity and confidence.

My approach to therapy

I believe mental health care works best when it focuses on the whole person, not just a diagnosis. In our work together, I help you understand what you’re experiencing emotionally, mentally, and physically — and how those pieces connect. My approach is grounded in understanding over labeling, true collaboration, clear and practical explanations, therapy, and using medication only when it genuinely supports your well‐being. I also provide neurodivergent‐affirming care that respects different ways of thinking and experiencing the world. Together, we slow things down, make sense of what’s happening, and build a path forward that feels realistic and supportive for your life.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my goal is to help you feel comfortable, understood, and not rushed. We’ll talk about what’s been going on for you emotionally, mentally, and physically, and start making sense of how those pieces fit together. I’ll ask thoughtful questions, explain things in clear and simple language, and work with you to identify what you want to get out of your care. You can expect a calm, collaborative space where you’re encouraged to share at your own pace. By the end, we’ll have a clearer picture of your needs and a plan for moving forward that feels supportive and doable for you and your lifestyle.
