Great to meet you!

After 12 years of providing therapy, I don’t believe in a "one-size-fits-all" approach. I specialize in serving adults who feel stuck in "survival mode" or trapped in cycles that have started to cause more harm than relief. Whether you are struggling with intense emotions, pulling away from loved ones, or reaching for habits like substances, spending, or self-harm just to manage the weight of life, I offer a safe, judgment-free space.

I am a partner in your healing. I am committed to meeting you exactly where you are today, even if you aren’t ready to change everything at once. My goal is to help you replace the habits that hurt with strengths that heal, so you can face life’s challenges feeling steady, capable, and truly strong again.

My approach to therapy

My approach is built on giving you a practical "toolkit" of proven skills that empower you to take back control of your life. I focus on specific treatment areas including anxiety, depression, impulse control, and substance use. We focus on active solutions using four main methods:

  • CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy): I help you catch the "brain traps" or negative thoughts that keep you stuck.
  • Mindfulness: I teach you how to stay calm and grounded when life feels like it’s spinning out of control.
  • DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy): We work together to manage big emotions safely so they don't lead to harmful reactions.
  • ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy): We ensure your choices align with what truly matters to you, using your values as a compass.

If you are struggling with substance use and aren't ready to stop, I use a Harm Reduction strategy. This means we prioritize your immediate safety and well-being while we work on building up your other strengths. My approach is designed to help you move from simply "getting by" to living a life that feels manageable and meaningful.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a chance for us to get to know one another and talk about what brings you to counseling. We’ll review your intake and screenings, explore your goals, and discuss how therapy can support you. This session is about building a space where you feel heard, respected, and supported from the very beginning.
