Great to meet you!

In today’s world, many of us are carrying silent burdens while trying to hold it all together. When trauma, addiction, executive dysfunction, or emotional pain enter the picture, the weight can feel unbearable. As a licensed marriage and family therapist with over a decade of experience, Amberly is passionate about helping others rediscover their strength, heal their stories, and reconnect with who they truly are — beneath the survival mode.

Amberly began her professional journey working with children and families affected by family trauma, foster care, and attachment issues. She went on to become a clinical supervisor at an inpatient crisis stabilization and co-occurring disorders facility, providing support to individuals navigating severe mental health challenges and addiction. In addition to her in-person work, she has served clients through telehealth platforms across various stages of their healing journeys — always with the belief that deep, meaningful human connection is the most powerful catalyst for change.

What makes Amberly’s approach truly unique is her lived experience. Amberly is a woman in long-term recovery from addiction. She understands how terrifying — and courageous — it is to change. She knows the feeling of powerlessness firsthand, and she brings that understanding into every session. Her approach is rooted in realism, compassion, and the belief that people don’t need to be “fixed,” but rather, they must be heard, understood, and guided back to themselves. Amberly believes that healing isn’t about perfection; it’s about becoming more fully you. It’s about learning to hold your pain with grace and your progress with pride. It’s about remembering that no matter how far you’ve fallen, there’s always a way back home to yourself.

My approach to therapy

Amberly’s therapeutic philosophy is whole-person centered, blending evidence-based practices with a deep respect for each client’s emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. She integrates elements of psychoanalysis, trauma-informed care, dialectical behavioral therapy, attachment theory, and mindfulness into her work, while honoring each person’s unique pace and process. However, she is also a straightforward person who can give you the push you may need to look at yourself differently.

Amberly currently resides in the state of Nevada and provides virtual therapy for adults in both Nevada and Washington state who are struggling with trauma, addiction, mood disorders, neurodivergence, and life transitions (including spirituality). She welcomes clients who are ready — or just willing — to begin the brave work of healing.
