Great to meet you!

I have spent 12 years in nursing, including more than five years as a nurse practitioner. I am board-certified as both a Family Nurse Practitioner and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. That combination matters: psychiatric symptoms do not show up in isolation. Sleep, hormones, chronic illness, medications, family stress, and what you can realistically do this month all belong in the room.

My approach to therapy

My approach is straightforward and kind. I listen first. I explain options in plain language. I do not rush you into a one-size-fits-all regimen. Your story, your health, and your goals come first. Treatment is collaborative: we look at mind, body, and life context—not just a symptom list—and build a plan you can actually live with.

If you are looking for a psychiatric provider who treats you as a partner, I would be glad to meet you.

What you can expect from me

The first visit is a 60-minute telehealth evaluation. The goal is not to rush a prescription; it is to understand what is going on and what you want to change. We will cover your current symptoms, relevant medical and mental health history, medications and supplements, sleep, stress, safety, and what has or has not helped before. You can expect a calm, structured conversation, time for your questions, and a clear plan at the end: working impressions, options (including medication when it is appropriate), and what follow-up will look like. Come as you are—notes, a medication list, and anything you want me to know are helpful, but you do not need to have it all figured out.
