Great to meet you!

Hi there! It’s so great to meet you. My name is Amelia, and I’m a licensed professional counselor and licensed independent chemical dependency counselor. I’ve been working with adults who struggle with anything from mild to severe chemical dependency, as well as dual-diagnosis cases. I also have experience helping people manage anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and stress-related disorders. I’ve been in the mental health and addiction field for over 12 years, and during that time, I’ve gained a lot of experience that helps me provide personalized, high-quality care to everyone I work with.

My approach to therapy

Everyone has their own unique story, and because of that, I offer a variety of services tailored to you. My main focus is always on your individual needs and journey. I’m here to provide support through techniques like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I also use motivational interviewing to help you reach your goals! I’ll encourage you to grow, keep you accountable, and support you with a compassionate, person-centered approach.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we'll chat about what brought you to therapy, talk about your personal goals, and start exploring how we can begin your healing journey. I'll be here to support you every step of the way, and together, we'll figure out what the best path forward is and how we can work through any barriers as a team.
