Great to meet you!

As a professional counselor, I specialize in supporting individuals navigating mood disorders, anxiety, grief, and OCD, with additional focus on the unique experiences of the LGBTQ+ community and those living with chronic illness. My approach is grounded in building genuine, trusting relationships where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered. My goal is to create a compassionate and nonjudgmental space that encourages self-reflection, fosters resilience, and allows for bravery in the face of life’s most challenging moments.

My approach to therapy

I am a firm believer that providing mental health counseling requires a multi-dimensional approach. I consider myself a primarily person-centered practitioner. This approach gives my clients space to access their inner wisdom, as well as the autonomy to guide sessions based on their present needs and lived experiences. When it comes to intervention, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) therapeutic approaches. These modalities maintain the warmth of person-centered therapy while exploring the underlying thoughts and emotions that pose challenges to healing.

What you can expect from me

I support my clients in reaching their goals by establishing a collaborative relationship where we identify what changes are desired and the steps to enact this growth. I'm a believer in feedback, so I encourage my clients to tell me if something isn't working. Therapy is as scientific as it is creative, which leaves a lot of room for individual tailoring based on client needs and comfort level. As a person, and as a clinician, my natural communication style is warm, energetic, and responsive. My goal is to cultivate a space safe enough for my clients to feel brave in how they share their thoughts, feelings, and experiences with me.
