Great to meet you!

I specialize in working with children and adolescents, helping them navigate emotional, behavioral, social, and developmental challenges in a supportive and engaging environment. I bring over five years of experience providing psychotherapy services to children and families, as well as experience working with children with neurodivergent needs in an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) setting. These experiences have strengthened my ability to understand and support children with a wide range of strengths, challenges, and developmental needs.

My approach to therapy

My approach is primarily behavioral and evidence-based, with a strong foundation in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I work collaboratively with children and their families to build practical skills that promote emotional regulation, healthy coping, positive behavior change, and improved self-confidence.

Recognizing that children often communicate and process experiences differently than adults, I incorporate play therapy and art-based interventions into treatment when appropriate. These creative approaches provide opportunities for self-expression, skill-building, and emotional growth in ways that are engaging and developmentally appropriate.

What you can expect from me

The first session is focused on getting to know your child and family while beginning to build a strong therapeutic foundation. During this appointment, I will complete a comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment to gather information about your child's developmental history, current concerns, family dynamics, strengths, and overall functioning. This assessment helps me gain a holistic understanding of your child's unique needs and guides the development of an individualized treatment plan.
