Great to meet you!

Amelia is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas and Colorado who received a Master's of Arts in Counseling. She is trained in addiction counseling, cognitive-behavioral, Mindfulness-based, and psychodynamic working with ages eight through seventy-five. She has been telehealth trained and focuses on collaborating with her clients to create a holistic view. This is done by inquiring about the emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual parts of their lives while creating a stronger sense of self.

My approach to therapy

During a client's time in therapy, the client and Amelia will identify goals and create an environment where the client is comfortable. During sessions it is important for the client to be engaged and collaborate with the therapist. Clients should expect a client-centered approach in session where we will discuss multiple aspects of their life and how it has impacted their day to day engagement.

What you can expect from me

During the identification of goals, clients will discuss life history and how it has formed them into who they are today. Clients should expect further self-discovery and identifying self-care and coping skills to implement into their day to day lives. Clients should expect to feel welcomed and are encouraged to communicate with me what will make them feel more comfortable in sessions.
