Great to meet you!
Warm welcomes! I’m so glad our paths have crossed and that you’ve found your way to my page. My name is Amira Jabbar, and I am a dually licensed Clinical Social Worker and Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor, proudly hailing from the Golden Garden State of New Jersey.
The helping tradition has called me to serve in many spaces, including secondary schools, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, substance use treatment facilities, and communities that have historically been underserved and marginalized. Each of these experiences has deepened my belief that every person deserves to be seen fully, heard without judgment, and supported with both compassion and intention.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Social Work from the illustrious Morgan State University, where the foundation for my life of service was strengthened. I later earned my Master of Social Work from Rutgers University, specializing in Clinical Practice and Addictions.
Throughout my journey, I have had the honor of sitting with children, adolescents, and adults as they navigated grief, anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, and the many seasons of change that ask us to grow—even when we do not yet feel ready.
