Great to meet you!
Hi! My name is Ammar Nazarali and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) & Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC). I received my Masters in Social Work from The University of Texas at Arlington and have over 3 years of experience working as a therapist in private practice and as a school social worker providing therapy to students at school.
I was born and raised in the United States, as a second-generation immigrant, with roots from East Africa and India. My background has given me a personal appreciation for how culture, identity, and belonging shape people’s understanding of themselves, their experiences, and their relationships.
Outside of my work, I’m usually involved with sports (especially soccer) in some way, either playing, coaching or watching. I also enjoy travelling both across the United States and abroad, cherishing any opportunity to experience new places, perspectives, cuisine and ways of life.
