Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Amna Ahmad, LPC, NCC, founder of Therapise. I earned my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Georgia State University and have experience supporting clients through anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship stress, body image concerns, family pressure, identity, self-worth, and life transitions.

I work with adults, women, couples, and teens who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or unsure how to move forward. My goal is to create a space where clients feel seen, understood, and supported while building the clarity and tools needed for meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I believe therapy works best when clients feel safe enough to be honest, curious, and gently challenged. I use a person-centered foundation along with tools from CBT, DBT, EMDR, IFS, and Gottman-informed couples work.

Together, we may explore patterns in your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and nervous system so you can better understand what keeps you stuck. I focus on helping clients build emotional regulation, self-trust, healthier boundaries, clearer communication, and more connected relationships.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we will take time to understand what brings you to therapy, what feels most difficult right now, and what you hope will change. I will ask questions about your background, relationships, strengths, symptoms, and goals so we can begin creating a plan that feels supportive and realistic.

You do not have to have everything figured out before starting. The first session is a chance to feel heard, ask questions, and begin building a safe therapeutic relationship at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
