Great to meet you!

First I would like to welcome you to my profile. I believe you will find it much easier than you might think to begin your journey. I am here to make you feel comfortable enough to open up and share as much as you like. There’s no judgment here at all. I can promise you will experience genuineness, empathy, and unconditional acceptance. I started providing mental health services in 2009 to clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, substance use, or even life stages transition.

A bit about my approach to therapy

While I tend to focus on CBT since it is the effective modality, I found other approaches such as DBT to work the best with certain disorders. I learned to focus on what you struggle with and need to change. I believe treating you as a whole person, not just focusing on the disorder, is essential to positive change. our disorder is just one part of our personalities. Hence, I need to know you well in order to tailor the treatment plan that fits with you.

What you can expect from our first session

Fighting addiction, depression/anxiety is not an easy task. I have been working with clients since 2009 who struggle with some of these symptoms. Applying evidence-based approaches, changing clients faulty assumptions, and finding HOPE are the keys to a successful outcome, while keeping the individual culture and ethnicity in mind. "It is not one size fits all."

Empathy, genuine acceptance, understanding are essential to change. That is how you accomplish therapeutic alliance with your therapist.
