Great to meet you!

I’m a licensed mental health counselor in both Vermont and New York, and a licensed alcohol and drug counselor in Vermont. I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health from Southern New Hampshire University and have worked in the field since 2006.

My approach is grounded in a humanistic perspective and supported by evidence-based practices. I integrate Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and clinical hypnosis into my work. These two powerful modalities can help regulate the nervous system and break through emotional blocks. At the same time, I emphasize a practical, solution-focused approach, identifying what’s already working in your life and building on those strengths to create meaningful, sustainable change.

Whether you’re seeking support for anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, life transitions, or relationship challenges, I’m here to help you explore solutions, access your strengths, and move forward with confidence and clarity.

My approach to therapy

I support clients in building inner safety, navigating difficult emotions by deepening self-awareness, developing the skills to engage in hard conversations, strengthening emotional resilience, and cultivating a more compassionate and confident sense of self.

My goal is to help you feel grounded, clear, and capable in your inner world and your relationships.

Since 2019, my practice has been fully remote. Tele-mental health offers clients greater comfort, flexibility, and accessibility. To keep our work focused and effective, I incorporate tools such as behavioral tracking, symptom monitoring, and collaborative, evolving treatment plans tailored to your goals.

Whether you’re seeking support for anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, life transitions, or relationship challenges, I’m here to help you explore solutions, access your strengths, and move forward with confidence and clarity.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a collaborative conversation focused on understanding you, not just your symptoms. I’m interested in what led you to seek support now, what you’ve already tried, and what you hope might be different. I want to understand your goals, your readiness for change, and what kind of support feels most helpful right now. We’ll talk about what’s feeling difficult, and begin shaping a direction that feels meaningful and doable.
