Great to meet you!

I’m Amy Bender, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 10 years of experience helping adults heal from anxiety, trauma, and painful relationship patterns. I began my career in addiction treatment, where I saw how deeply trauma affects the nervous system, self-worth, and relationships. That experience inspired me to complete certifications in Somatic Therapy and Yoga, integrating body-based approaches to help clients heal fully, not just understand their pain, but truly move through it.

My approach to therapy

I help clients address the root cause of anxiety and relationship struggles, often unresolved trauma held in the body, so we’re not just managing symptoms. My approach blends somatic therapy, attachment-based work, and mindfulness to restore safety in the nervous system, understand patterns, and create lasting change at a pace that feels respectful and doable.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is about creating safety and understanding what’s bringing you in. We’ll explore your goals, current challenges, and begin noticing how stress and emotion show up in your body so you can start feeling a sense of relief. We'll explore practical ways to start feeling more grounded right away. I take time to learn who you are and what you need. Together, we’ll set clear goals and begin the path toward real relief, steadier relationships, and a deeper sense of peace.
