Great to meet you!

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), I bring over 20 years of experience in nursing to my practice, with much of that time spent caring for patients in high-acuity settings such as the ER and ICU. Those years taught me not only the importance of evidence-based medicine but also the value of truly listening to each individual’s story.

My approach is collaborative and client-centered—I believe the best outcomes happen when treatment is a partnership. I will take the time to understand you and your unique goals, challenges, and strengths, and I will work with you to create a personalized plan that may include medication management, therapy, and practical lifestyle strategies tailored to your needs. My style is approachable, supportive, and grounded in compassion. However, I also believe in being straightforward and honest, so you feel informed and empowered throughout your care.

I treat adolescents and adults with a wide range of mental health needs, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, trauma-related conditions, and treatment-resistant depression. I also have a special interest in exploring innovative, evidence-based options for those who may not have found relief with traditional treatments.

Born and raised in Louisiana, I understand the importance of family, culture, and community in shaping mental health. I know firsthand the challenges of balancing life’s demands while attending to one's own well-being. This perspective allows me to connect with clients on a fundamental level—meeting you where you are and walking alongside you in your journey toward healing and growth.

Whether you are coming in for the first time or have been on a long journey seeking support, my goal is to provide a safe and welcoming space where you feel heard, respected, and hopeful.

What you can expect from me

When you work with me, you can expect a supportive and judgment-free space where you are truly heard. Together, we’ll focus on understanding not only your symptoms but also your strengths, values, and goals. My goal is for you to leave each session with:

  • Clarity and Understanding – a better grasp of what you are experiencing and why.
  • Personalized Guidance – a treatment plan tailored specifically to your needs, whether that includes medication, therapy, or lifestyle strategies.
  • Practical Tools – skills and resources you can use immediately to help manage stress, enhance coping, and support your overall well-being.
  • Collaboration – a sense of partnership in your care, where your voice and preferences guide decision-making.
