Great to meet you!

I have written several profiles in the past three decades, and as I get older , I find that what I thought was important when I started out in the field is not as meaningful for me now. I have come to believe that the basis of successful therapy is providing a compassionate, safe, and non-judgmental space in which a person can be heard and known. Mr. Rogers is one of my heroes.

My approach to therapy

The analogy with which I am most comfortable to describe my work style is that of an editor. You come to me with your story, which may have gotten stuck, or taken an unwanted turn, and I have the privilege of

helping you create alternate story lines, adding characters or making some less prominent, and developing your own power as narrator.

What you can expect from me

I hope I can offer clients a greater appreciation of themselves, an ability to reduce needless suffering and cultivate more joy, and the capacity to recognize reasonable expectations of themselves and others.
