Great to meet you!

Hello. I have been an LCSW for over 20 years. I have also lived in another country and have a Master's degree in International Peace Studies, contributing to my curiosity & deep investment in client's experiences & stories. I work hard to listen and help others find answers to questions weighing them down. Many of my clients are struggling with worry, sadness, self-sabotage, rumination and/or limiting beliefs.

We'll use a wholistic approach in addressing the needs of your mind, body, and spirit.

My approach to therapy

I use a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy, insight oriented, positive psychology, & family systems therapy, as well as deep compassion & mindfulness practices. Trauma informed therapy is a staple of my work & I ask all my clients to help me understand what makes them feel safe & comfortable in the room. Although, I have extensive experience working with children & families, I am not currently seeing children in my practice. I do counseling around parenting concerns when needed.

What you can expect from me

Each therapy session is unique to each client. However, most importantly, I strive to have clients feel heard and valued. Then, we will work together to decrease the symptoms most troubling you. If desired, I provide tools, worksheets, or writing prompts as needed.

You deserve a safe space to heal and grow. In our sessions together, I'll meet you with compassion and evidence-based techniques so you can overcome the hurdles and habits holding you back. Let's work together!
