Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in Texas offering virtual appointments including during the lunch hour, evenings and on Saturdays. I am specialized in trauma and somatic (body) work and have over 25 years in working with issues such as anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and issues specific to women and self-worth.

My approach to therapy

My approach is casual and nurturing with humor interjected to soften some of life's messiness. I believe acceptance and connection in session support our partnership best. No shoes required. Coffee or bev of your choice is a must. This is not your mom's therapy session. We embrace brain and emotional health and well-being. Kleenex recommended.

I offer insight on tricky thought and behavior patterns getting in the way of living life. I help reframe anxiety, depression, family dynamics, childhood trauma, self-worth, and life stressors. I am trained in brainspotting (a less chatty cousin to EMDR) geared toward softening the trauma response.

Come just as you are. I will provide a safe space for you to share the hard, interject humor to ease the pain, share insights, and ask for input/feedback because you are the main character of your story.

What you can expect from me

So what is it like to come to therapy with me? I will invite you to share your story and what you feel is important for me to know. I can ask the questions to get us started or you can share freely about you. What are the hard spots right now? What used to bring you joy? What do you want your life to look like? You have one. Let's figure it out together. Spill all the tea. Please. Our time together is dedicated solely to you. You'll have time to ask questions, figure out goals and decide if we are a good match to continue. You won't hurt my feelings. My concern is that you help the support you need in the way you need. You got this. Even if it doesn't feel like it right now.
