My approach to therapy

Amy creates a nonjudgmental space where you feel truly supported. Her skills include employing cognitive behavioral approaches, dialectical behavior therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, trauma-based therapy, and sensorimotor psychotherapy. Amy specializes in treating addictions, eating disorders, trauma, and anxiety. While she enjoys working with people of all ages and backgrounds, she receives massive fulfillment working with young adults, parents, and the LGBTQIA+ community.

What you can expect from me

During intake and ongoing therapy sessions, I strive to create a nonjudgmental space that allows for self-exploration and personal growth. I accomplish this through a combination of talk therapy, written therapy assignments, and the active practice of healthy coping strategies. Some of the therapy modalities I rely on include cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, trauma-informed psychotherapy, and sensorimotor psychotherapy.
