Great to meet you!

I believe that everyone deserves to feel heard, understood, accepted, and supported. Seeking therapy is a personal journey, and I recognize that taking the first step can feel overwhelming. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, or everyday challenges, my goal is to provide a safe, welcoming, and judgment-free space where you can be yourself.

I provide individual therapy for children, adolescents, and adults, using a creative, collaborative, and person-centered approach. I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you as we explore your experiences, identify your strengths, and develop the tools needed to make healthy, informed decisions.

I value authenticity, connection, and the importance of building a genuine therapeutic relationship. Through empathy, understanding, and open communication, I strive to create an environment where you feel comfortable sharing your story at your own pace.

Therapy is not about changing who you are. It is about discovering your strengths, embracing personal growth, and finding a path toward healing and positive change. Together, we will work toward your goals in a way that feels meaningful and empowering to you.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy is not a one-size-fits-all approach. My work is grounded in Person-Centered Therapy, emphasizing empathy, authenticity, collaboration, and creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and understood. I consistently integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) to support your individual needs and goals.

During sessions, we may use CBT to identify unhelpful thought patterns and develop healthier coping strategies, Solution-Focused Therapy to recognize strengths and create achievable goals, and mindfulness techniques to improve emotional awareness and regulation.

In my work with children, adolescents, and adults, I adapt these approaches using age-appropriate activities, creative interventions, and practical skill-building. While techniques vary based on individual needs, my approach remains consistent in fostering a trusting therapeutic relationship, building on personal strengths, and empowering you to make meaningful, lasting changes.

What you can expect from me

I know that reaching out for therapy isn't always easy, and walking into your first session can bring a mix of emotions. You might feel nervous, uncertain, hopeful, or even wonder where to begin. I want you to know that there is no right or wrong way to start. I genuinely enjoy getting to know the individuals I work with, hearing their stories, and understanding what makes them who they are. My priority is to help you feel comfortable being yourself, without fear of judgment or pressure to have everything figured out.

Our first session is structured as an initial assessment and an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We will begin by reviewing confidentiality, discussing what you can expect from the therapeutic process, and addressing any questions or concerns you may have. From there, we will have an open conversation about what brought you to therapy, your personal history, current challenges, strengths, and what you hope to accomplish. I will ask questions to better understand your experiences and needs, but our conversation will be collaborative rather than feeling like an interview. Together, we will begin identifying treatment goals and discussing what future sessions may look like.

I believe that building a genuine connection is an important part of the therapeutic process. You will never be expected to share more than you feel comfortable with, and we will move at a pace that feels right for you. Whether you are seeking therapy for yourself or your child, my approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your unique needs.

Most importantly, our first session is not about having all the answers or knowing exactly what to say. It is about taking the first step toward building trust, exploring your goals, and creating a path toward healing, growth, and positive change. My hope is that you leave our first session feeling supported, respected, and confident that you do not have to navigate life's challenges alone.
