Great to meet you!

I am a native Texan who has been licensed for 15 years. Most of my career has been focused on working with both neurotypical and neurodiverse adults and children who experienced childhood trauma, family violence, sexual violence/assault, difficulty with age-related changes, addictions, life transitions, stressors associated with care-giving, parenting, and lack of lifestyle acceptance or adequate supports.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I received a Master of Science in Family Studies and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Amberton University in Garland, TX. I tend to work within a trauma-informed framework when seeing clients. I am certified in Trauma-Focused CBT, working toward certification in EMDR, and becoming a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor.

What you can expect from our first session

Clients can expect to take away tools focused on increasing emotional safety and building resilience. Therapy sessions will be focused on a client's resiliency and strengths. We will discuss the events that individuals experience and how they adapted in order to cope. We will refrain from pathologizing and work toward healing.
