My approach to therapy

Amy's style is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. She believes mental health care should feel accessible and empowering, and she strives to create a safe space where you can be open, ask questions, and feel truly supported throughout your treatment.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, you can expect a calm, supportive, and judgment-free space where the focus is entirely on understanding you and your needs. Amy will start by getting to know your concerns, your history, and what brought you to seek care. You'll talk about your symptoms, daily functioning, past treatments, and goals — all at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Amy's goal in this initial visit is to create a clear picture of what you’re experiencing so she can develop a personalized treatment plan. This may include discussing therapy options, lifestyle supports, or medications when appropriate. You’ll always have the opportunity to ask questions, express preferences, and take an active role in your care.

Most importantly, Amy wants you to leave your first appointment feeling heard, understood, and hopeful — with a sense of partnership and a clear path forward.
