Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who wants to help guide you towards clarity, healing, and growth.

My approach to therapy

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor dedicated to guiding individuals toward clarity, healing, and growth. With extensive expertise in developmental trauma, attachment theory, spiritual issues, and family of origin dynamics, I bring both clinical skill and compassionate presence to the counseling process. As a certified TBRI® (Trust-Based Relational Intervention) Practitioner, Adoption Competent Therapist, and Certified Trauma Professional, I have spent years helping clients navigate the deep and lasting impacts of early life experiences. I integrate evidence-based approaches—including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), existential, attachment- and reality-based modalities—to support clients in building resilience, improving relationships, and developing healthier patterns of living. In addition to clinical work, I serve as an educator and trainer in the areas of trauma, attachment, and adoption, equipping caregivers, professionals, and faith communities with the tools to better understand and support those they serve. Known for my very direct yet kind approach that is coupled with quite a sense of humor, I create a safe and authentic environment where clients feel both challenged and supported. I work with adolescents through late adulthood, helping individuals process past wounds, strengthen identity, and move toward a more connected and purposeful life. Whether addressing complex developmental trauma, navigating spiritual struggles, or healing from family of origin pain, I believe that transformation is possible, and that hope is never out of reach.

What you can expect from me

New clients can expect a therapist who is passionate about helping people find clarity in the midst of confusion, healing from the wounds of the past, and growth toward a healthier, value-centered life. First sessions will focus on rapport-building and laying a foundation of trust while stepping into the client's world to better understand the nature of the client's struggles and concerns. With extensive experience in developmental trauma, attachment theory, spiritual struggles, and family of origin issues, I care about addressing the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. I utilize a blend of proven approaches—DBT, CBT, ACT, attachment-based, existential and reality therapy—tailored to each client’s needs. My style is direct yet compassionate, with humor woven into sessions to make even the hard work feel a little lighter.
